For twelve years, I dedicated myself to being a full-time mother to our four children. While I loved creating a home filled with warmth, I always knew I needed a creative outlet beyond the everyday and began to feel restless. Today, my husband and I live off-grid on the Leonardi family farm in Julatten, where I enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, decorating, and spending time immersed in nature. It is a place that inspires both reflection and creativity.

My professional writing career began following my son Sebastian's brain tumour diagnosis in 2020. Determined to share the realities faced by families navigating serious illness, I wrote Boy of Steel: Little Sebastian's Big Miracle. The memoir is now used as an educational resource by medical, nursing, and psychology students across multiple James Cook University campuses and has earned several international and national awards. 

Since then, I have written a series of children's books that help families explain cancer, disability, stroke, and diabetes to young readers. These books have been embraced by organisations including Camp Quality, Redkite, Brainchild Foundation, and Education Queensland.

In 2021, I founded Bowerbird Publishing to help aspiring and established authors bring their stories to life. Combining my training in editing, graphic design, public speaking, event management, and education, I have built an award-winning publishing business that supports writers throughout Australia and beyond.

Whether I am writing, publishing, mentoring authors, or speaking at events, I remain committed to one simple belief: every story matters, and the courage to share it can change lives.
